Pharmacy participation and fulfillment terms vary. This page explains membership. It is not medical advice and does not replace a healthcare professional.

No. TheDrugClub is not health insurance, not a Medicare or Medicaid plan, and not a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) substitute. You do not need insurance to become a member.
Can a membership and insurance be used on the same fill?
Usually no. Membership pricing is generally a cash price used instead of insurance on that fill, not combined with it. Process a fill as membership or as insurance, not both.

After you join, you get a digital member card to use at a participating pharmacy. 70,000+ pharmacies participate; confirm that your pharmacy participates before you fill. A valid prescription is required.

What if my medication isn't on the covered list?
If a medication you need isn't in our current formulary, we'll let you know. We're constantly expanding our formulary. In the meantime, our team can help you explore alternatives, request a formulary addition, or connect you with membership pricing options for non-covered medications.
How do I receive my first prescription after signing up?
After enrollment, use your digital member card at a participating pharmacy. A valid prescription is required. Contact support if you have a question about your membership.
Is my personal and health information secure?

How do I get my membership ID card?
A member card may show BIN, PCN, Group, and Member ID values for pharmacy processing. Those fields do not make the membership insurance.
What if I have a question about my prescription or dosage?
For membership questions, email support@thedrugclub.com or call (424) 375-7114. Questions about a medication itself, including dosage, go to your prescriber or pharmacist. This is general information, not medical advice.
Can I use TheDrugClub alongside my current pharmacy?
Yes. Membership in TheDrugClub does not prevent you from using other pharmacies. Many members use us for their ongoing maintenance medications covered in our formulary while using local pharmacies for other needs. However, to receive medications at no cost, the prescription must be filled through TheDrugClub.
How do refills work?
Refills follow your active prescription. Contact support at support@thedrugclub.com or (424) 375-7114 with refill questions.
What happens if I move or need to update my address?
Log in to your Member Portal and update your address on file at any time. For urgent address changes, contact our support team directly at support@thedrugclub.com or (424) 375-7114.
How do I know if my medication is covered before I sign up?
You can search our full formulary on the Conditions & Medications page before you create an account. Simply search by condition name, drug name, or brand name. If you don't see your medication, contact our team at support@thedrugclub.com and we'll look it up for you.
What is the difference between the Single and Family plans?
The Single plan is $19.95 per month and covers one person. The Family plan is $29.95 per month and covers an eligible household, up to 6 people in one household.
Can I get controlled substances through TheDrugClub?
Controlled substances (Schedule II–V medications) are subject to additional federal and state regulations that limit their dispensing through mail-order services. Our formulary currently focuses on non-controlled maintenance medications. Contact us if you have a specific question about a medication.
Is there a limit to how many medications I can get?
No. As long as a medication is in our formulary and you have a valid prescription, there is no cap on the number of different medications you can fill through your membership. You can fill as many covered medications as your prescriptions allow.
What happens if my prescription expires?
We'll notify you when a prescription is approaching expiration. At that point, you'll need to get a renewal from your doctor. If you need help coordinating with your provider, our pharmacy team can assist. We cannot fill expired prescriptions.
Do you offer 90-day supplies?
Yes, in most cases we can dispense 90-day supplies for maintenance medications, subject to your prescription and state regulations. 90-day fills can be more convenient for long-term medications. Contact support to request a 90-day supply for your prescription.
Who do I ask about my medication?
Questions about a medication itself, such as interactions, dosing, or side effects, go to your prescriber or pharmacist. For membership questions, email support@thedrugclub.com or call (424) 375-7114.
What if I already have a coupon or discount card?
TheDrugClub is a membership, not a discount card. On eligible medications, there are no per-prescription fees. You can use a coupon or discount card at other pharmacies, but it cannot be combined with TheDrugClub at the time of dispensing.
Is TheDrugClub available in all 50 states?
Yes. We serve members in all 50 U.S. states. Some state-specific regulations may affect certain medications; contact support if you have a question about your state.
What happens after I cancel? Can I rejoin?
Yes. If you cancel your membership, you can rejoin at any time. When you rejoin, you'll go through a new enrollment process. If you have a question about your prescriptions when you rejoin, contact our team.
How does billing work? When will my card be charged?
At signup, your card is authorized only to validate it. That authorization is not a membership charge. If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged. If you continue, both months are collected at month 2. After that, the membership fee is billed monthly.
Are there any hidden fees or extra charges for medications?
No. One of the core principles of TheDrugClub is transparency. 800+ medications. $0 with membership on eligible medications. Other prescriptions may qualify for membership pricing. Your membership fee is the same every month.
Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?
Yes! In most cases, TheDrugClub membership fees are considered a qualifying medical expense for HSA and FSA accounts. We provide detailed receipts for every billing cycle that you can submit for reimbursement or use with your HSA/FSA debit card.
Do you offer brand-name medications or just generics?
Eligible generic medications are $0 with membership. We do include some brand-name medications where generics are not yet available or where we've secured special pricing. You can search our full list to see exactly what's covered.
How do I request a medication that isn't on the list?
If you don't see your medication in our search, you can submit a 'Formulary Request' through the Member Portal. Our pharmacy team reviews these requests weekly. We are constantly adding new medications based on member needs and market availability.

What happens if a medication is out of stock?
While we maintain robust inventory levels for all formulary medications, occasionally global supply chain issues can affect availability. If your medication is temporarily out of stock, we will notify you immediately and provide an estimated restock date or work with your doctor to find a suitable temporary alternative.
How do you ensure the quality of the medications?
All medications dispensed through TheDrugClub come from FDA-approved manufacturers and are handled by licensed, US-based pharmacies. We adhere to the highest standards of pharmaceutical care and safety, ensuring you receive the same quality medication you would at any retail pharmacy.
Do I need to see a specific doctor to use TheDrugClub?
No. You can continue seeing your preferred healthcare provider. As long as they provide a valid prescription for a covered medication, we can fill it. We work with all licensed US physicians and can receive prescriptions via e-prescribe, fax, or phone transfer.
